What do you feel is most important about the opening of your new business?
“Exhibiting a very high level of customer service at all times, creating an empowering environment for my service providers, and providing a dynamic array of services with unparalleled quality. These are my core values. These will always continue to be most important to me because these are the things no marketing effort, promotion or special can substitute for. We do not specialize in just blowouts, or just makeup, or just bridal packages. We specialize in creating a beautiful "you" whatever that means to a woman, whether it be physically or a feeling from within."
The name Blow Me Away came to me not only because it is very fitting to our signature service, the blowout. Many will be surprised that I have no professional background in cosmetology, hair, or makeup. My passion and career path was business intelligence and operations, creating and implementing value for a large company.
I would visit my neighborhood blow dry bar weekly to get that amazing hair to match my (quoted from a previous employee) 'over the top work attire'. My self-confidence naturally influenced my work ethics, my hard work and zeal. I would have never thought, in a million years, that I would become a business owner, implementing my own values and operational processes, creating my own brand identity, creating a platform to empower and hopefully encourage other woman to step outside of their box.
And yet here I am...Within this last year I have ultimately 'blown myself away' and to think it all started with a blowout.
